Young people invited to attend smoke free Europe event

The EU HELP campaign have invited young people from the UK with interest in tobacco control to participate in the ‘HELP’ Student Network Meeting taking place on 5-7 May 2010 in Riga, Latvia.

Based on the European Youth Manifesto the participants of the Student Network Meeting shall develop a Declaration on Tobacco Control focusing on measurable goals and objectives. In addition, the participants will be trained on how to disseminate a declaration emphasizing the aspects of lobbying and networking.

The Student Network Meeting will also provide an opportunity to exchange best practices and to further develop effective youth projects on cessation, prevention and passive smoking. The participants will have a chance to present current and past Help youth projects.

If you are interested in participating in the ‘HELP’ Student Network Meeting please complete the attached form and email it to k.deibert@dkfz-heidelberg.de by 1 April 2010 at the latest.

Travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed by the European Commission.
