New participation page to be launched by Equality Commission

17 young people from across Northern Ireland recently attended a workshop to share their ideas about creating a youth participation web page with the Equality Commission.

The workshop, facilitated by NCB NI, began with a series of activities that raised the young people’s awareness of equality law.

The young people were encouraged to comment on how the youth participation page should look and were able to try their hand at developing items for the page.

They helped the Commission in its efforts to reach out to young people, increased their knowledge of equality, made some new friends, and had a lot of fun! The web page will be launched in Belfast on 25th January 2011 at the Equality Commission.
