At a time of considerable pressure in youth services, the Centre for Excellence and Outcomes (C4EO) will host 4 Youth Theme Training Workshops in September.
Delegates will explore 'what works' in relation to increasing the engagement of young people in positive activities; delivering better outcomes for young people by increasing the impact of targeted youth support and development; and, helping children and young people make healthy lifestyle choices by reducing their alcohol consumption and so improve their health, safety and well-being.
There will be workshops from Ofsted on recent reforms to youth support services and from NYA on the Big Society and Citizenship. Also there will be a marketplace where Participation Works and other organisations will be sharing information on how to effectively engage children and young people.
Delegates should be senior personnel with responsibility for one or more of the priority areas. Particularly welcomed are Local Authority Youth Services, Youth Offending Team Prevention Managers and Voluntary Sector Managers.
Limited places are still available.
