11 Million launch web survey for children and young people

11 MILLION, the organisation led by the Children’s Commissioner for England, has launched an online survey to find out what children, young people and adults think about its website.

Children from all over England played a key role in designing the current website. The Commissioner’s job is to make sure that adults in charge listen to what children and young people in England have to say to improve their well-being.

The website provides a safe place where children and young people of all ages and abilities can share their views and opinions on what it is like to grow up in England. They can do this by creating a shape using the ‘Shape It’ tool and uploading PowerPoint presentations, written work, drawings, photos, sound files and videos.

The Commissioner would like to know whether children, young people and adults are happy with the site and how it could be improved to make it even better.

There are two web surveys, one for children under 12 and one for young people over 12 and adults. The survey participants could be one of three lucky winners of £15 gift vouchers to spend at HMV. The prize draw can be entered by visiting the last page of the survey to send an email to the Commissioner’s web team.

The survey will be available until 12 February 2010 with the draw taking place on 16 February 2010. The three winners of the HMV vouchers will be notified by email.
