Our Participation Unit based in Cardiff is working towards a national strategy to enable children and young people's participation in decision-making in Wales.
We are recruiting to the post of Participation Unit Manager. We are looking for someone with significant experience and skills to join the high performing Participation Unit team and to work with the multi-agency Participation Consortium. This person will be responsible for the operational, strategic and financial management of the Participation Unit and for planning and fundraising for the Participation Unit's future. The person appointed must be: committed to children rights and participation, a supportive and effective line manager, able to think strategically and work effectively in partnership with other organisations and an excellent communicator. This post is offered initially on a fixed term basis to the end of March 2011, pending confirmation of ongoing funding in December this year. Secondments will be considered.
