Assistant - Transition

London Based, 35 hours p/w
£19,544 - £22,203

Transition is a challenging part of a young person’s life, moving from one thing to the other, growing up, changing and developing.

This post is for a disabled young person*. We want your experience and views of transition to influence the National Transition Support Team (NTST). The NTST is based at the Council for Disabled Children (CDC) in Islington, London.

The NTST help people who work with young people to know more about transition.  This is to make sure disabled young people have the same rights and opportunities as all young people.

You will have an interest in issues affecting disabled young people at transition into adulthood along with an understanding of the needs of young people with a range of impairments.

It is important candidates have a direct experience of being a disabled young person. If you think you have some of the skills for the job, CDC staff could help you learn how to do the rest, so please apply today by downloading a jobpack.

Assessment and interviews: Thursday 3 September 2009.

Closing date: 10am, Wednesday 19 August 2009.

Jobpacks and application forms (no CV’s please) can be obtained by:
