UK Youth Voice are holding their national youth conference organised and run by young people for young people.

THE BIG Youth ISSUE

We really need to share these issues with you. Your input to the workshops is as important as ours. Help us to find a way forward so that we can represent the views of all young people.

Workshops will be held on the following issues:

  • Workshop 1 Diverse-City: It doesn’t matter if you’re red, green, yellow, orange, purple or anything like that. This workshop is for you. Get to know how other people live, and how, given everyone’s differences, we are all the same.
  • Workshop 2 Triggering Bullets: It doesn’t take a minute to take a life. It takes a second. How much do you think that life is worth? A few pounds? A mobile phone? A Wallet? It doesn’t just kill the victim. It kills a whole nation. Would you think about the families of the victims? Express your views and opinions in this workshop. Don’t trigger the bullets, think about the consequences.
  • Workshop 3 Guys and Dolls: Know your AIDS from your HIV? Worries about planning a family? Need tips and advice in dealing with situations? Want information about sexuality? Then come to our Guys and Dolls workshop for friendly informal fun.
  • Workshop 4 Education, education, edu . . . inspiration: Want that certain edge? Would you like to know about opportunities that will empower you to shape your future? Learn how to utilise volunteering for that killer advantage during interviews. Discover how to accredit the relentless hours you spent helping society last Friday night! If you reach for the stars, let us help you fuel the rocket!

Presentation Bring on the Change Got something to say about how you are treated? Need a young people’s advice centre near you? Movers & Shapers is a UK Youth project concerned with
consultation for change. Throughout the weekend there will be three half hour sessions focusing
upon how young people can work to influence change within the services provided for them, presented by those involved in the project. BRING ON THE CHANGE!!!!
