Hear By Right ‘Bite Sized and Badgable’ will equip you with the knowledge and skills to ensure your organisation is safe, sound and legally compliant through using the best practice for the participation of children and young people.
The half day training events will introduce participants to:
1) the Hear By Right Framework, used widely across the young people’s sector to map current work and plan for improvement with young people themselves;
2) the new Hear By Right Award Scheme, which provides an opportunity for an organisation to achieve the national recognition it deserves.
What is Hear By Right?
The Hear By Right framework is a tried and tested standards scheme established to help organisations to assess and improve their policy and practice regarding the participation of children and young people.
Developed by the National Youth Agency and Local Government Association with local authorities and partner organisations, it is widely used by councils and other public bodies, such as Primary Care Trusts, schools, the police, and housing authorities and a cross the voluntary and community sector.
This event is most suitable for participants who….
• have responsibility for the participation of young within the organisation
• have used Heard By Right Before
• are new to both the Hear By Right Framework and Award Scheme
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
