This workshop is part 1 of our three part ‘Every Young Voice’ training course running in Bradford which is designed to support Local Youth Councils to engage and consult with a diverse range of young people in their local area.
BYC believes that diverse and representative Local Youth Councils are essential to represent the views of young people effectively and engage with their Local Councils, Children’s Trusts and other community organisations in a meaningful and informed way. By the end of the 3 part course Local Youth Councils will:
- Have the skills and tools to consult with a range of young people
- Identify the range of young people in their area
- Produce an action plan for submission to Children’s Trusts and elected representatives
- Find other similar local organisations that they can work with
The course is being run in Bradford in three parts on the 19th September, 30th October and 30th January 2010 and it is essential you can attend all sessions. Each Youth Council can send 2 representatives to the course.
