Following the success of last years' Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) conferences, CWDC will again hold a series of events, taking place in each of the nine regions. Last year input from delegates directly informed the DCSF’s 2020 Children and Young People's Workforce Strategy and now CWDC want to work with you to ensure it is delivered.
Why should you attend?
The conference will:
- Explain how last year’s conferences fed into the development of the 2020 Children and Young People's Workforce Strategy and provide you with a full understanding of the strategy
- Help establish CWDC's role in leading change in the sector and implementing the strategy, providing opportunities for you to feed into our plans
- Give you an opportunity to discuss some of the challenges being faced and overcome by front-line workers and what CWDC can do to help
These events will be for a wide range of participants, from strategic managers to front line practitioners. It will be an opportunity for you to voice your views and offer you an opportunity to meet and talk with others working in the same field.

- Thursday 2nd July Leeds – This conference will also include CWDC’s AGM which delegates can attend if they wish.

- Monday 14th September Birmingham
- Thursday 24th September Newcastle
- Friday 25th September Manchester
