London Network

The London Participation Workers Network (LPWN) is coordinated by a partnership which comprises 4 key organisations; London Youth, Government Office for London, the Greater London Authority and the Partnership for Young London. Together these organisations have been delivering a series of initiatives across London to support those working in Children and Young People’s Participation for some time. With the addition of some funding from Participation Works the London UKYP Coordinator Rosie Ferguson will be able to place a particular focus on meeting the needs of Participation Workers in the third sector in London.

The LPWN currently offers two things to workers; firstly an online forum set up by the Partnership for Young London. It enables participation workers across the capital to share practice and ideas, discuss developments in the field, and assist each other with advice and support.

The LPWN also meets face-to-face at quarterly meetings, hosted by the Greater London Authority. The intention of these meetings is to provide a space for those supporting children and young people’s participation to share practice, to network, and to find out about current consultation and engagement opportunities available.

The GLA also run the Young Londoners Network which circulates lots of information about London and the opportunities and events that are around for young Londoners.
